Who we are

I decided to post a couple of pictures of my family. I downloaded a free picture editor app and love it! See details below.

The picture of Lee and I was from last August on my 30th birthday, I was about 2 months pregnant with Olivia.

The photos of the kids were both taken last month.

Hello!? Fragile

I was so sad to find the box of china crushed and even sadder when I opened it to find several pieces of our wedding pottery broken : (

But I guess to only have a hand full of things break out of all of our stuff I consider myself lucky.

On a BRIGHT note, all of our light fixtures have been installed. Eagle Electric did a great job and stayed until 11pm to get finished. One of the guys even rocked Olivia while Lee bathed George so I could go running. Lol

Oh and speaking of things breaking, you will notice the light above our kitchen sink is without a glass globe... I have purchased the exact same globe THREE times from Lowes, first time the thread on the bolts didn't line up, second time I dropped and broke it while bringing it in the house, so I bought it the third time only for the electrician to break it while installing. Apparently this house did NOT approve of my selection. I am going to Lowes today to pick out a new, completely different globe!!

And last night we had our first home cooked meal in our new house... thanks to our great friend Brooke. I have not even been to the grocery store yet. I'm completely terrified to see the bill for restocking a house of food and toiletries.

Brooke you can cook for us any time, it was super delicious!!

Marathon

As if I don't already have enough going on... I've decided to run a relay leg in a marathon on December 4th. My husband has inspired me to run, and I must say it's addicting. I don't love running, and I'm not fast or even good at it, but it feels SO good after you have pushed yourself to the max.

I knew I would no where near prepared to run a marathon, or half marathon in the next 63 day (or maybe EVER) but I knew I could at least run about 6 miles if I start training now. I started training Sept 19th - one week ago and have only ran TWO times. Not Good. I think moving a family of four may have inturruped my plans a little.

I WILL BE READY BY DEC 4TH - if I keep telling myself that I may just believe myself! Any way, I talked 4 awesome girls into running with me, and with them on my team I know we will Rock the ROCK!

It's all for a great cause, as most races are, so PLEASE help the children and click this link to donate! And go ahead and put me, Krysta, Brooke, Sara & Joanie on your prayer list because it will be a long, cold, run come Dec 4th!!

2 days of unpacking

It's Sunday, we've spent the last 2 days unpacking. I forgot to take a picture of our garage before we started bring in boxes but trust me it was unbelievable how many there were.

Here are a few current pictures. Now it's time to get back to putting things away.

The picture of the garage is what we still have to go through. Ughhhh

Moving begins

We're slowly moving in. Yesterday we (Lee) filled the garage with boxes and tonight we (Lee & Chris) moved the big furniture in the house. THANK YOU CHRIS FOR HELPING!!

We actually had lots of helpers tonight, my mother in law scrubbed everything that passed through the door and every place that was going to have furniture set on it. My dad and my sister, Jill, worked on putting on the new knobs and general clean up. My niece, Claire, fed Olivia and my mom and my nephew, Garrett, played with George.

Lots to do still but I'm very excited about it!!

Window coverings & granite

I purchased all of my window panels at Target and faux wood blinds from walmart.

We got our granite, floor tile, faucets, door knobs (interior & exterior), and cabinet pulls from Stoneworks in Longview. We picked the faucets, and all knobs from DesignHouse 2011 catalog.

Nice enough people to work with but had to deal with several confusions and delays.

Lights, camera, action

I purchased ALL of our lighting from Lowes. Below are some of the purchases I've made, this doesn't include the 6 fans that are slowly going up one by one.

The pink chandelier was previously the brass chandelier hanging in the dining room. This will be a beautiful accent for baby girls room!
